The Metropolitan Chicago Region of ORT America is pleased to announce their 2015 Fall Event! Join newly-appointed region president Ellen Doppelt and her team for an inspirational evening as they raise funds for the organization’s Future Learning Spaces (FLS) an innovative program that brings much needed education and technology to under-served communities throughout Israel.
Held at 1871 in the Merchandise Mart, guests will enjoy cocktails and a dinner before embarking on a tour of 1871, Chicago’s most exciting entrepreneurial hub for digital start-ups. “1871 focuses on technology and supporting individuals looking to grow both personally and professionally which is right in line with what World ORT is all about”. says Doppelt. “We are thrilled to be connecting with an organization that shares our passion for education”.
Featured speakers of the evening will include Tom Alexander, COO of 1871 who formerly served as Deputy Communications Director for Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and Avi Ganon, CEO of World ORT Kadima Mada (Science Journey) in Israel. This program was pioneered to raise science and technology education in Israel to a pre-eminent level especially in the most under-served and under-resourced communities in the country’s periphery.
The Metropolitan Chicago Region’s Fall Event will take place on Thursday, October 29th at 6:00pm. Tickets are priced at $150 per person and $54 per person for anyone 35 years or younger.
