On the doorstep of the 2017 season and still basking in the glory of the Cubs' historic World Series win, the Leadership Exchange of the Chicago Finance Exchange welcomes the executive vice president and general manager of the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs, Jed Hoyer, as the May dinner guest speaker. The program, titled “Building a Winning Team” takes place on Thursday, May 11 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at The Standard Club, Chicago, 320 S. Plymouth Avenue, Chicago.
Jed enters his sixth season as executive vice president and general manager, having been named to the role in 2011. Alongside President, Baseball Operations, Theo Epstein, he helped lead the Chicago Cubs to its first World Series title since 1908. Prior to orchestrating the historic turnaround in Chicago, the two together led the Boston Red Sox to a pair of world championships (2004 and 2007).
Chicago Finance Exchange Members, their guests, and other non-members are invited to learn more about the Cubs' championship journey as Hoyer shares his insights on how to build and sustain a winning team and what the future holds for the Chicago Cubs.
The program is free for members, $85 for retired and non-resident members, and $150 for all others. The evening includes a cocktail reception and dinner.
