Marwen, Chicago’s free art school for underserved youth, invites you to its 10th Anniversary Art Fair, where artists from as young as 6th grade all the way through experienced professionals will display their work for purchase. 50 percent of the profit from each piece of art created by Marwen students, staff and alumni, including acclaimed Chicago artist and Marwen Executive Director Antonia Contro, will benefit the art school.
The Art Fair comes just weeks after Marwen celebrated its grand reopening alongside Mayor Rahm Emanuel following a $4.5M building renovation and expansion project. The school is projected to serve 30 percent more Chicago youth by 2018.
Admission includes drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets are $40 or $50 at the door.
