Feeling like a disorganized mess and the year just getting started? Don't worry, we do, too, which is why getting organized is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions people make for themselves. However, turning this noble goal into a reality is easier when following these three simple techniques suggested by Schae Lewis, CPO® and Bahar Partow, the two professional organizers behind Mission 2 Organize.
These ladies are all about creating order, de-stressing, and being environmentally conscious. Need even more proof that this dynamic duo can help you whip your pad into shape? Due to their expertise, they've been on the popular television show Hoarders. Enough said. Now crank up the music and spark greater organization in 2016!
1. Break It Down
Instead of trying to tackle your entire condo at once, start in one corner of one room. Complete the small space you have designated and celebrate that success before you move on to the next minimal area to be organized.
2. Keep Your Eye on the Prize
Continue to remind yourself why you want to get organized. Is it because you want to be able to invite friends over? Think about how it will feel once everything is in its proper place and you are enjoying a glass of wine with friends at home.
3. Ask for Help
Organizing by yourself can be a drag. Enlist the help of a trusted friend or a professional organizing company like Mission 2 Organize. In addition to the hands-on organizing, your helper can serve as an accountability partner to keep you on track and chugging ahead toward your goals.
