What better way to celebrate the Joffrey Ballet's 60th anniversary and the U.S. premiere of John Neumeier's female-empowered new work Sylvia (October 14–25) than with a luncheon for 200 of the most powerful and well-heeled women in the city? Held on October 6 at the stunning Chicago Athletic Association, the festivities were hosted by the Women’s Board of the Joffrey Ballet and co-chaired by Chicago business leaders Kathleen Henson (Founder and CEO of Henson Consulting, Inc.) and Ellie Forman (Corporate Community Relations Manager, Mesirow Financial Holdings, Inc.).
In between lunch and conversation, Kendra Scott Jewelry sponsored a “box pull” raffle that included goodies such as signature jewelry, Maria Pinto designed dresses, a stay at the Chicago Athletic Association, and more. All proceeds from the luncheon will go toward the Women’s Board mission of supporting the activities of the Joffrey and securing its prominence as one of Chicago’s cultural treasures.
