In honor of Women’s History Month in March, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel invites the city to raise a glass to and partake in a conversation about the powerhouse female figures in Chicago hospitality today as part of the hotel’s ongoing Storytelling Series. This complimentary panel celebrates the impactful, strong-willed, and game-changing women shaping the hospitality scene in Chicago.
From artists to musicians, innovators, adventurers and visionaries with a great story to tell – the series gives an inside look into the experiences, moments and memories that have shaped the speakers, their work and their lives. The hotel is known for its rich history, and while the walls can’t talk, the Storytelling Series continues the tradition of welcoming the world’s finest talent into its halls to make lasting memories. The ongoing series includes about one hour of storytelling, followed by a brief Q + A.
Held in the Drawing Room Library within the formerly men’s-only Chicago Athletic Association club, this inclusive gathering of women in hospitality carries on the spirit of women who have long been changing the game in Chicago. The panel will be moderated by our very own Chicago Woman editor and brand strategy director, Jennifer Smith Tapp, as she guides guests through a thoughtful conversation.
This Storytelling Series will take place on March 27 from 5:30p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Admission to the event is complimentary with registration at chicagoathleticevents.com, but space is limited and seating is first come, first served. Following the panel, a portion of all food and drink proceeds during the evening at Cindy’s Rooftop will be donated to Deborah’s Place, Chicago’s largest provider of supportive housing for single women experiencing homelessness, opening doors to housing, healing and hope.
