Phantom of the Opera
If you're a musical lover like me, then you may want to know that the Chicago performance of Phantom of the Opera is having their closing weekend. The last day of performance is January 8th, and luckily, they do have some last minute tickets left. Check out this amazing musical before they leave Chicago.

Garfield Park Conservatory
This winter, the Garfield Park Conservatory has their annual Holiday Flower show, Sky Forest. The show evokes a walk-through of wintery woods and highlights the towering beauty of the Fraser fir tree. This annual show ends this weekend on December 8th, so take in the beauty while you can! Also, every weekend, the conservatory has events to bring families and kids together to learn about the natural world. This weekend, Fiddleheads is a warm dose of the tropics and keeps your kids connected to nature throughout Chicago’s colder months.

Sauces Cooking Class
If you wanted to learn how to cook from an award winning chef, now you can! Spiaggia Restaurant and Lounge has chef Tony Mantuano and executive chef Joe Flamm demonstrate their favorite sauce recipes including, Pomodoro, pork ragu, pesto, and salsa verde. Admission is $100 per person, and guests will enjoy wine with lunch made from the sauces taught in class.

This is going to finally be the year where you will keep that weight loss resolution! Dance2Fit is a fitness class where women can come together for a great workout in a judgement free setting that is fun and helps one lose weight or reach a fitness goal. Jessica Bass hosts this event for a $20 admission for 90 minutes.

Maybe this year, you want to become stress free, relax your body and mind, or maybe even to be more flexible and stronger. Join this free event, led by Paula Bui, and learn how to combine acrobatics and yoga! This event will also feature a chance to win a pair of Powervita capris for you and a friend.
